The overall 'Best on the Beat' within Avon and Somerset has been announced in the fourth Community Policing Awards.


The event is the only awards competition in the force which asks the public to vote for individuals and teams that go above and beyond for the communities they serve.


The overall winners were named at the gala night were:


PC Philip Armitage from Bath and North East Somerset presented by Chief Constable Colin Port Neighbourhood Beat Manager of the Year
